While it's really nice to be working as an endocrinologist in a world-famous medical center, earning a good salary and driving a nice car, right at this moment, at 1120pm when I'm reviewing some papers on Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 1 and suffering from a case of the munchies, I would KILL for a decent plate of mamak mee goreng.
I miss home.

I am not much better off than you, being here in Sibu. Coz also not much nice food over here -- gee, no nice tau foo fah, no nice eeu char keuy, and no nice Coffee Bean. U wished to be back in Malaysia, when you're in USA; similarly, I wish to be back in KL, when I am currently in Sarawak! ;) Home Sick too...

Maybe instead of teaching Kris cuss words, you could teach her to cook Malaysian food. Or are you the cook?
