Happy Merdeka Day!

Happy 54th Birthday, Malaysia.

I wish you peace, and harmony, and economic growth.

I hope that your leaders eventually learn to mature, and make decisions based on what is best for you, and your people. Not for one group. Not for personal greed, or corruption.

I hope that someday, you will become the truly democratic, truly multiracially harmonious society that so many of us want you to be.

I hope society can someday rid itself of selfishness, racism and corruption.

Happy Merdeka Day.

kolo - wishful thinking. its like saying i hope we all become millionaires when we wake up tomorrow so we all can live comfortably and eat well. you need a path that leads you there, whether a lottery ticket, a good idea, or a lotta work.

ofcourse we can rival most countries if all our brains return - question is - does the government truly believe its important and are they willing to remove enough crutches to finally start running in the fast lane? najib feels a few tax abatements will be a great motivator but id be surprised

Malaysia Day is on 16th September 1963 when Sabah, Sarawak & Singapore joined Malaya to form a Federation called Malaysia.

So it should be Happy 48th Birthday Malaysia on the 16th September.

And Happy Merdeka Day Malaya on the 31st August.
