10 Things I Want to do Before I Die
Mrs. B, the lady we admitted the other day with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer and septic shock, was extubated yesterday. She's talking now. Told us she wasn't ready to die; there were things she wanted to do still.
Well, what about me? What would be on my to-do list, before I kick the eternal bucket?
- Skydive
- To find my soulmate, and marry her (just once in this lifetime, mind you. Not the Britney marry-one-day, annul-the-next type)
- Raise a family
- See my grandkids
- To see my sis take the Hippocratic Oath
- Visit Australia
- Get a tattoo on my right arm (Have been talking about this for 4 years, doubt I'd ever find the guts to do it. Mom's threatened to disown me!)
- Go on a Caribbean cruise
- Drive a convertible
- Write a book (a real book, not a textbook)

I want a tattoo too!
That was my 21st bday plan. M nw going to be 23 soon. Hehe.
WOrried abt bloodborne diseases risk as well.
Me wanna write a book too! I did start and wrote one chapter two years ago, but the disk I saved it in decided to die a sudden death. So, now I have to start all over again *boo hoo hoo*
Trust me...if you really want to write a book, you will. St Martin's, NYC, published mine (Men In Green Faces. Wrote it with a Navy SEAL), but have to tell you it ain't easy. One necessary thing--and I'd bet you have it--is that you're really bullheaded stubborn. In the end, that's what gets you through. Another: wanting to write whatever you want to write enough to put a couple of years into doing it. Knew a guy who got hooked on research...spent 36 years! on research, and finally did get it published. Don't go that far. :))) Wish you luck, for sure.
If you want to get a tattoo without getting disowned...
1. Don't blog about it - in case your Mum is reading this!
2. Pick a "covered area" so she won't be able to see it ;)
Naah. She won't disown me; she wants free healthcare :)
